Thank you for your interest in our Enjoy Detroit Family Dinner - Giving Thanks Event! Our goal is to provide a warm, welcoming holiday experience for families and single parents facing hardship. This dinner is specifically organized for those who may not have the resources to celebrate on their own, offering a day of good food, community, and support. Men's Prayer & Conversation
We invite men to share their experiences and perspectives on mental health. Our safe space allows community members to share and listen to each other. We have guests that will share their testimonies and resources on healing. We invite leaders and organizations to share resources on how community members can become involved with movements, programs, and healing. Space is first come, first serve. Paint, Poetry & Pizza -Family Day
Join us for Paint, Poetry, and Pizza! Family Day! This is a free event for Parents & Children. Space is first come, first serve. We will have art easels, canvas, paint and brushes available. Wellness and Mental Health Coach Ciera Rene’ will provide mental health resources and guide us in mindfulness exercises. Artist Sierra Paris will help us create a canvas-painted masterpiece. Are you a poet or just want your voice to be heard? Are you an artist or just want to paint? Join us for Paint, Poetry, and Pizza! This is a free event for males and females ages 18 +. Space is first come first serve. There will be a sign-up sheet for open mic poetry. We will have art easels, canvas, paint and brushes available for use. You are welcome to bring your own. Adult Community Conversation – Mental Health
We invite men and women ages 21+ to participate in an important conversation on mental health. It’s vital for our community to understand that mental health/depression is real. It’s time to acknowledge it and learn the proper ways to defeat it. You are not alone dealing with personal, financial, career, social, parental, relational, grief and everyday living circumstances. Our safe space is for community members to share and listen to each other We invite organizations and counselors to come share resources on how community members can receive healing and support. Youth Community Conversation – Mental Health
Our youth is back in school! Students develop stress, social and academic pressures that causes some to rebel, withdraw and/or spiral into a crisis. We invite male and female youth ages 12-17 to participate in an open conversation about mental health. Black Market Saturday highlights Black businesses in the Detroit/Greater Detroit area. This event allows the public to shop with local start up businesses and support the community.
